I agree - seems like any moron can drive (*looks in mirror*).

Traffic school is a waste of time, but I don't complain too much 'cause it's cheaper than the insurance uprating. Back in the day, if you were sentenced to traffic school, you didn't have to pay the fine; I guess it didn't take them long to see how much cash they were leaving on the table!

People think driving is simply knowing where the gas and brake pedals are, and how to steer, and I think that's the entire basis of the test now. Lip service is paid to situational awareness, but 99% of the drivers aren't looking past their hood.

With newer cars that isolate the driver more and more from the road, it seems like they're a passenger no matter where in the car they sit.
