I don't know about JE, but Mahle pistons come with wrist pins.
I timed my 964 cams per the factory 964 spec. I don't remember what it is off the top of my head, but it is probably in Wayne's book.
On a 80-82 small port SC, get your ports done, and use the early SC airbox/CIS runners.
Your engine will run out of breath up top.
