It's the Emerging Countries like Brazil, and Indonesia that are destroying vast tracts of Rain Forest to develope...It's China that is now BEGINING to suck up resources..
The USA has the most stringent pollution laws around....(Europe probably rivals the US)....yet because we are the largest we do produce more and consume the most....but if U want offenders just look at Russia, Mexico and China....on a percentage basis they have raped the land in comparison to the USA.
