I was considering the GT Racing kit, although I believe it is $600-700 for everything. Personally I think it should be good for a 20-30lb weight savings. Think about it, there's the balance bar, headlight buckets, covers, motors, etc. The main reason I want to convert to non-popup headlights is for the purpose of updating the looks and cleaning up the engine bay. Removing all the popup associated parts should clean up a ton of room in the front of the engine bay.
