Hey, I believe in free will as much as the next guy and congratulations to all of you who have successfully inserted a V8 into a 944 without affecting the handling. But you must be exceedingly talented engineers to make this possible (why don't you just build your own car?). I know that if I had spent a considerable amount of time on a project such as this, I would probably not like to hear what an INSANE idea it is from people i don't know.
I'm willing to be proved wrong on this (not that I really have a point to prove), but I don't believe the definition of a fast car should be limited to how well it goes in a straight line (unless it's a land speed record attempt or a drag racer). Remember the urban legend about the guy who strapped a jet engine onto the back of his pickup truck and accellerated at over 300mph into a hillside...?
