My 914 is fast approaching the need for new tires. I currently have Falken 195/65R15 tires on it, mounted on the optional Mahle alloys wheels. I purchased the tires about 4 years ago, and they seem to be pretty decent. My suspension is near stock and I don't auto-X or anything like that, but I would like to find tires that optimize the 914's handling. This is also my daily driver, so I'd prefer a ride no more harsh than what I have now (which approaches "pickup truck-like" when going over railroad tracks.)

What are some options for decent (but not too pricey) tires?

Also, I notice that the right front tire is wearing on the inside edge more than usual. I have replaced my ball joints and tie-rod ends. I assume an alignment is in order. Comments?
