I would check out Tire Rack for info on tires. I use inexpensive Continnetals for the street and spend my $$ on track tires. The nice think about the Cont, is they have a decent ride especially with my very stiff suspension. The grip is poor, but the ride quality is decent.
An alignment is in order. Also, check your bushings in the A arm.
