Indignant conservative groups are protesting this week's opening of the film "Kinsey," denouncing it as propaganda seeking to glorify the researcher they blame for inspiring the sexual revolution.
"Alfred Kinsey is responsible in part for my generation being forced to deal face-to-face with the devastating consequences of sexually transmitted diseases, pornography and abortion," said Brandi Swindell, head of a college-oriented group called Generation Life that plans to picket theaters showing the film.
These nut-jobs go on to talk about the "homosexual agenda" and all sorts of other craziness. My real objection to this whole thing is not that these people are close-minded, controlling, bigotted, idiots. My problem is that most of the GOoPers I know that preach this nonsense will not hessitate to expense a long night at a strip club on our company trips. "Its just entertainment". Sure it is.
So answer me this: I figure that the GOoPers are about %25 Christian psycho nut-jobs, %25 percent redneck from-my-cold-dead-hand southerners, and the rest are scared of people of color.
How is it that you the Churchies and the Rednecks seem to coexist in the same mindset and support the same umbrella agenda?
