When I purchased my car the exahaust system was backdated. Which meant that the heater blower was removed. I have noticed that there is contact points on the heater handles inside the car. Do these wires need to be disconnected (two yellow to one to each lever)? Will they put a drain on the battery, if I leave the heater levers up.

How would I determine if something was putting a drain on the battery, I have an optima battery and when letting it sit for about a month and a half I had to jump start it. If I let not sit that long 2-3 weeks I am fine.
