Perfection is an honorable goal, and should be strived for. However, perfection is also not possible, as we human beings are not perfect. There will always be room for improvement.

Though most everybody has the same goals, lower crime, stronger economy, reduction of poverty, etc., there will always be differing views on how to acheive these goals, and passionate, well-meaning people will argue over these differing ideas long after I am gone.
