My car also has an electric speedo; If I was really hardcore, I would ditch the speedo altogehter, and carry a hand-held GPS unit for freeway trips.
I'm guessing the HVAC stuff is 10lbs or so. I had to remove it once to replace to wiper assembly.
Heat is nice, and since I already have heater boxes, I'll keep it for now. The weight savings by going with heatless headers would be minimal, but it would cost me $$$$
