I passed smog about a month ago with a Steve Wong chip. The readings were VERY clean. I swapped out my Fabspeed cat bypass, slapped the cat back on, ran it for about 30 minutes. Then swapped the bypass back.
As a matter of fact, I just let a fellow Pelican borrow my cat for the exact same process on his car. Also passed.
I agree with the others, cat or O2 sensor for starters. Especially if it runs well, which it sounds like it does....
