We're hated because we essentially control most of life directly or indirectly in most of the known world... Do you think that this will change when America sunsets and a new superpower (...if this happens, there might be a disintegration of central power) comes into being?
Considering that we've saved the world from at least three murderous fascist regimes and could annhilate the rest of the planet about 1,000 times over, we're pretty god-damn benevolent.
