I have time to respond to the first, but not the second part of this:
1. Prussia and the Austro-Hungarian Empire
2. Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan
3. The Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Union
All of these efforts were won through financial, material, and combat contributions by the United States, especially numbers 2 and 3.
