In my old '67 912, I put an 1835 cc VW engine with dual 40 IDF Webers. It was a screamer and a whole lot of fun! At one time, I had a Mazda RX-7 (13B) engine rear mounted. I could not get it to cool quite right and was going to have to do some cutting and mods. I decided against it.
After I drove my '83SC, there was no comparison between the two. 16 years of technology is incredible.
