About the only other differences (in 1976) were that the 912's rear windows were fixed, and the rotors were solid, where the 911 had vented rotors.

The E 915 is not quite identical as the final ratio is unique and the mainshaft is different as well...IMHO, in stock format they are underpowered (compared to a 6). Few exceptions, of course anything with a Jake Raby Type IV, and John Bentons '69 .
