The 912 has also somehow managed to avoid the SCCA's anti Porsche bias in Solo II classification. Where older 911's are clearly outclassed in Stock and Street Prepared classes, the 912/912E is in the very bottom classes (HS and FSP) and with the aforesaid balance, make for real ringers if driven well.

I've often thought a well-sorted 69 912 coupe with a SP prepared T4 from a 912E would be a killer FSP car.
