I'm sorry if I offended anyone but my silliness comment was pointed toward the generality comments being made ( "stainless is weaker than non-stainless"). I have a industrial fastener catalogue in front of me ( not now as I write this, tho) and you can get stainless fasteners in metric property classes....not sure if specifically up to 12.9.
And what do you mean "they aren't marked or made that way". Yes...you can buy stainless fasteners marked 8.8 or 10.9, or such. Accordingly, the head is marked 10.9 or whatever.
