Bang on turbocarrera...

I heard an interview the other day where someone was criticizing the US for not taking direct action in Sudan. WTF?!? Paul Martin was in Sudan last night and what did he pledge? Books. Uh yeah, thanks... maybe they could burn them for heat so people don't get raped or murdered when they leave the camps rumaging for firewood.

Problem is, western countries point out flaws in US actions/inactions as though they are always on some moral highground. We point out US flaws and issues as though they don't exist in our countries. Worse yet, when we do point out these issues in OUR countries, we tag them... like "U.S. style political campaigns", "Americanized diet", "U.S. style consumerism" etc etc. As though these issues in our countries, are somehow caused by the U.S. These are issues in the whole western world, but teh rest of the western world doesn't want to accept any blame for them. It's the U.S... not us.

PS Joeaska... The vegoil thing is pretty cool. I did it to save on fuel cost initially, but the independence aspect of of it has really won me over. Pretty cool to just drive by the gas stations for a month straight. I recently converted my dad's Mercedes 300SL, and will be converting a friend's Dodge pickup in the spring.... PM me if you need any vehicle-specific info for you're friend.
