Gardner didn't have much credibility, considering he wasn't on Kerry's boat during any of the activities precipitating awards. Like most of the 'Swifites' claims, his were obviously false.
Did he 'suffer'? Maybe. Poor old George Elliott suffered, too, when he tried to recant his claims against Kerry.
Honestly, if you guys only read what's on Drudge, you'll think there's a vast liberal conspiracy out there.
