Ever hear the one where during the Cold War the Russians put a order of condoms for bid in the US? They submitted the sizes and such, and the US firms went to work on a bid.
They made up samples and forwarded them to Moscow. The Russians opened them up and in metric sizes they were around 9 inches long and 5 round. The Russians were very happy and chuckled that the Americans now thought that all of their men were "very well endowed" until they looked a second time at the wrapper and noticed that they were marked "medium".... 
A good sense of humour helps from time to time...
