1982 911SC Vaccum line connecton point question

I am helping a friend with his 1982 911SC engine. After doing a complete tune-up we were looking over the engine for leaks etc. and found a vacuum line that is not connected at one end. We looked everywhere and can not find where it should go. In the Haynes 911 owners workshop manual it has a picture of the vacuum line connections on page 264 for this car. The line in question goes from the Throttle housing through a Tee conector and to the back of the Deceleration valve. The line that comes off the Tee is the one that was not connected. In the manual the picture shows it going to something, but does not identify what the component is. From the picture we can see it is a cut away drawing, but of what? Please advise as to where this line should be connected to. We have plugged it on a temporary basis, but figure wherever it should be going to is sitting open to atmosphere. Thanks for your help. John
