Most Porsche wheels are a baked on paint not powder. As for polishing and not clear coating that is your choice. If you use a good polish such as Mr Buffer polish which is the best polish made in my opinion you will be fine with minimal work. Keep in mind that if you try and polish anything that is cast you will have to deal with pits etc. that is why most cast centers are painted to hide this.
