I started this project around the beginning of October. This is an early 964 motor with the gasket-less cylinder head mating so I changed out the pistons and cylinders and had the heads machined by Supertec for the later style sealing rings.
The 3.8 liter pistons and cylinders are from FVD and they are designed for turbo conversions. Cams are stock 964. Rods are 930 with ARP rod bolts.
Wayne, your 911 rebuild book is simply incredible--my hat's off to you. And of course this forum and its members are priceless.
I should note that I was able to perform all the work in my 1930's one car garage!
