I agree. Sadly, I have always enjoyed the Ludlum books for a casual read.
A few weeks ago, I watched an older "Action" film (title escapes me but it was a good one). Interestingly, when I saw it the first time, I thought it moved right along. Seeing it now, it seems slow and deliberate.
I guess the film makers have to make every thing for the MTV Generation. Fast cuts, close shots, excessive motion.
I hate it. Take your time, show me the big picture, Fill in some details, let the action speak for itself.
Darn shame....
