Boy I thought Ashcroft newly expanded list on who should get the death penality was bad.
That is a little extreme. These cops are supposed to be trained on this. Now adays the average cop can't take down a drunk let a lone kid playing videogames or 2nd grader (sober). What do other countries do without the guns, tazers and neat push button toys of destruction? Kung Fu, Judo chops, hand to hand tackling?
Our cops seem to just loss their patience and then pick from an asortment of items to f'k the person up. Later they'll laugh about how 'funny' it was too!
I had no guns or tazers at the bar. If I had to break up a fight all I had was my hands. No walkie talkie, no 9mm, or stick. I had no training, or school to pass. Yet I was able to easily move drunks 3x the size of me out of the bar without humilating them, or nearly killing them. Nothing funny about it and it wasn't something I looked forward to.
So whats these cops excuse?
I'm sure I served drinks and got 1,000s drunk at the bar and most drove home. None of them deserved death. Our society seems to like it this way because its not going to change. Nothing wrong with drunk driving, most here do it weekly and made it home hundreds of times. It's only wrong when you get 'caught' or too plastered and do damage to others with your car.
This drunk was wrong to not listen to the cop. Perhaps the cop was inline to use a tazer. But its a lazy man's way to shut somebody down and risk death doing so.
