red, a tazer will drop you like a bad turd. a gun, imagine will be a bit more "expressive".

personally, i think a tazer is better than the alternative, the good old fashioned billyclub. my brother is a policeman, and i occasionally act as his stress sounding board/mental health listener. he called me a few months ago, when a two week rookie got shot to death. here is what happened: domestic violence call. rookie and his FTO responded. the dude had just beaten the crap out of his wife, and the cops had to take him in. he didnt want to cooperate. so the rookie tried to tazer him. he missed. bad guy got to a gun and opened fired. killing the kid. the veteran cop (only my opinion) blew it. bottom line, the bad guy was arrested, when he finally realized what he did. he dropped the gun and gave up. the kid was shot in the big arterie running up the leg, and bled to death crying, kicking and screaming. in my opinion, the video could have ending the same way. NO DAMN way to insure the drunk didnt have a gun. the trooper had no other options, but to stop him. if i was the veteran cop, i would have had the guy in my sights when the rookie attempted the tazer. centermass.
