The contamination(death) of our life support system(Earth) happens on so many levels it is absoloutely mind-boggling. Our current economic model is an open-loop operating within the closed-loop system that is our planet. Kyoto must be the beginning of something far more comprehensive.

I can see it making little sense to people who value material wealth above all else and will commit any atrocity to satisfy their desire. I believe they are called capitalists.
