I guess I just missed it here, this video looked like a run of the mill drunk driver who was being non-cooperative with the officer, then the officer can't place him under arrest, which leads to the officer using non-leathal force (tazer). This situation is not unusual or that out of the ordinary in many larger police forces. Some forces have stopped using the other favorite non-leathal, pepper spray, for roadside uncooperative suspects because they have a tendancy to stay on their feet and stumble around (which can lead to a bad case of getting run over by oncoming cars). The suspect did not follow instructions (I'm sure do to his insobriety) which led to his getting shocked, guess what, as Chris Rock so eliquently put it "that's when you get your ass kicked." Is anyone acually shocked (pardon the pun) about that? What is the alternative, wrestle on the ground with him and risk injury to the officer or worse, risk getting his gun taken and shot with it. I THINK NOT. Was every thing about this stop performed perfectly, no, was the result appropriate, yes.
