Yes these were the plates originally assigned to the car when it was new. We had the paper trail (expired reg certs and pink slip from the first owner) to support that fact. I was told originally by someone at the DMV that once the plates go NRF (no record on file) that they could not be used again. Typical of the DMV you seldom get the same answere twice so you keep asking untill you get the answere you want. Danielle knew who to ask and how to push the paper so we got the result we wanted.
