The new (used) motor arrived Tuesday night and by Wednesday midday I had it torn down to the bare block. The block looks good but amazingly enough rod bearing number 2 is shot! It is amazing that Porsche never recalled these engines due to this failure, it seems to be the same thing on everyone of them I tear down. All in all the new block,crank, and pistons are in very usable condition. I think I am going to build a website to detail this project with pictures so stay tuned......
