Thankxs for the info but I gotta put you straight on the incorrect and extremly bad taste title you used to title this thread.

Firstly, it's a misnomer, Jesus Christ was not born on Christmas Day or in December. 25th/12 is a pagan feast taken over by Christianity to celebrate Jesus's birth which in all probability was in April, it was also more than likly to have been around 4-6BC.

Secondly Jesus Christ did not "bring" down anything.

You need to either read your bible or attend church and learn somethings.

God does not like or "visit" these things on his children. I.E US
What you have to realise is a few things.

Is that whilst God loves us and wants us to draw near to him, he also abhors the evil that men do and try to justify in his name.

Look around you at life, images, news theres a whole lot of evil around.

The bible also talks about that to wards the end of days there will be all manner of catastrophes. So that man may be tested. I'm not saying this is what we are looking at but you dont need to look far to see we are going to hell in a handbasket rather quickly.

Evil has a way of making things appear, that there is no God. Don't even try to think thats correct.

Recently in Sri Lanka God/Christianity is being pushed and subjugated both by Buddists and now also be ammendments to the constitution and law, prohibiting Christianity from being practiced and followed according to scripture.

Pastors and Christians are being killed, tortured and raped. A Roman Catholic Church was fire bombed a few days ago by... thoes peace loving buddists.

Certain powers and people in high places are pushing God away purpously in this country. Or at least trying to.

Even look at how diasters strike, all over the developing countries are ALWAYS hit.

this event makes 9-11 look like a teaparty !

If 20,000+ people had been killed stateside or in the uk or europe, EVERY bloody TV channel would be chocked. Yet on TV today in the UK VERY little has been shown, I only get anythnig of relevance on Cable.

BBC/ITV/Channel4/and fve have been pretty crap.

Today I awaok to the figuers of 15,000 in Sri Lanka dead. Up untill last night I did not know if my own relatives and friends were alive. luvckily some SMS's upcountry regions kept me in touch.

One think that is also relevant and to the point, that to a Christian death is not the end. To a Christian Hell is not being or knowing God's presence or love. If you Die you are with God.

God's knows this and Christians know this. The Devil also knows this and tries to use this little known fact to his advantage. If a Christian is not afraid to die OR to suffer then the old adage "why does God allow this to happen, there can't be a God after all" does make sense. But It DOESNT cos when you are dead that is not the endgame it is the beginning.

Evil does not come at you with 2 horns and a forked tail. It comes with a smile. It usues everything it can media, famous people, friends events.

God does not need any trickery. God is all around for thoes that have eyes to see. When your baby is born, when your plants grow, when your kids get home safe after school. When you could have been shot in a burglary (as nearly happened to me) or could have dies in the major car wreck. Yep God is there and I'm pleased to say he's got my back.

And God was defintly there for me and kept my familly and freidns safe by his grace.

Some members of the Sri Lankan Church I attend here in the UK have had members of there famillies swept out to sea . We will be praying for them all this evening. But as they had given there lives to Jesus we KNOW that they are in God hands.

And these times are sent to test us, when we are safe we testify that God's love had/has saved us from peril and danger. So danger is not new to a Christian is is part of the path we walk to Gods grace
