The owner of the last Porsche dealer on the Mississippi gulf coast was getting a divorce in late 1988. He was forced to liquidate this car, the last 911 sold at his dealership.

I was just out of residency, single, with the goal of finally owning a 911. I saw the ad in the New Orleans newspaper for the car, which had only 8k miles. A new one at the time was about $48k, I bought this one for $36k. It was the first and only car I looked at.

I never looked back.

Now I have a wife and 3 daughters, all who want the 911 for their own one day.
