My loving bride got me an iPod for Christmas. I was all set to hardwire an Aux input to my car stereo when I thought I'd give the iTrip a shot.
In a word, it's great. I doubt you will sell many hard-core afficionados on the transmission quality, but to my ear it's fantastic! My motor will produce more sound distortion than this little iTrip will. No hookup, no download. true plug-n-play.
Now about the iPod. WOW! 10,000 songs in your shirt pocket with the most intuitive software I've seen. The clickwheel is elegant, simple and functional. Skip, pause, stop and volume adjustments are easily made without looking.
How are they going to sell radio advertising in 10 years when everyone has an mp3 player in the car?
Anyway, if you have been on the fence about the iPod or the iTrip, I think you'll be impressed.
