I bought a IPOD for my wife for Christmas. And she bought one for me so one of them has to go back.
These things are great, don't know how long we lived without one. I "ripped" my first CD Christmas morning. Actually typed in all of the song names/artist/album for two CDs. Then I come to find out that the software does this for you by checking a database online. Very cool.
I do find it interesting that the battery was not designed to be replaced by consumers. What happens when the battery goes kaput? I am supposed to buy another $300 IPOD? I believe Apple (and other vendors) offer to replace your battery for $75-100. I don't trust myself enough to crack open the case and do it myself.
