Looks like both the cranks I have have damage to the #2 rod journals so I am going to send one of them out to be turned, lightened, and cross drilled. Here is a list of the things to be fixed I have found to date -
Injector wiring harness dry and brittle needs replacing
Injectors are shot and I will replace with 55lbs injectors
AC adjuster bar is broken (I might can weld this)
Heater core shot
Power steering rack and pump will need to be rebuilt
AC compressor is locked up
Various bushings damaged by long term power steering fluid and oil exsposure.
The head is warped and the heat insulation coating in the exhaust ports is breaking up and missing chunks in places so I will have to buy a new head for the car.
I am begining to think this car was massively overheated. I can also see its never had any seal work done on it as every seal on the old motor is pouring oil. I am sure this contributed to this motors early demiss.
I still havent taken any pictures of the project but I will soon. I got the new/used block back from the machine shop where they boiled it in cleaner and it looks great. I am coating the block with a spray on ceramic 1200 degree finish that looks like aluminum when it cures. It really looks sweet!
I will report in as I get further along................
