It's tough, but you can do it.
My neighbor and his wife just quit. She's in her early 40s and was just diagnosed with emphysema. Even so it's been a challenge for both of them. They sit down at the computer and look at all the "smoker's lung" photos they can find.
My dad quit right before getting in the ambulance that took him to have his by-pass surgery. My mom never got the chance to quit. She had a stroke and died when she was in her early 60s.
