Check out the Cheese and Crackers blog. There's a bunch of video out there of the thing hitting shore. Some is fairly benign (as much as a tsunami video can be) but some is scary as hell. You can see people standing there watching - I don't think they even understood what it was in some cases.

You always think if tidal waves as these giant waves like they have in Hawaii only bigger. It's really not what you think...
