A beautiful, 20" iMac with a G5 processor can be had for $1800 or so. Seems expensive, until you realize that you can sell it on eBay a year later for a grand (and then buy the latest, greatest). A used PC is worth about... oh $50. And the Mac is far, far more elegant and a enjoyable to use than the PC. Just my .02
