it's true that mental imagery, both positive and negative as the case may be, is an extremely powerful tool in motivation. It can be used for all different kinds of challenges that we face in life.
It's funny: to a non-smoker, going through a day w/o a cig is as easy as breathing. To someone trying to break the addiction it can be like bench-pressing the Sears tower, just plain impossible.
Here's to hoping that you guys can become non-smokers, I have to really "flip a switch" in my brain when I quit, the good news is that the obsession has been lifted 100%. I rarely think about smoking, at least in any attractive way.
