The prices for these things is not commensurate with the material used or the amount of technology in them. The aftermarkets I've seen are not much less in price and there is some question as to their fit without changing the brackets. I'm also hesitant to buy used ones since mine puffed up after 15 or so years. So even if I found some from a late model Carrera, they may only have a year or two before they deform as well. From time to time, the Porsche dealership has a 50% off sale on parts. This may be the best opportunity for me to pick up some new ones at a price I'm willing to pay. It's hard to justify this much money for a part that's not required for the car to operate.
