I taught at Holiday Valley 1996-97 ski season. I don't know if you have been up there lately, but they dumped alot of cash into improvements--unfortunately the "lodge vibe" never really caught on, and everyone still seems to congregate in the Ellicotville bars.
Still, very nice selection of slopes, I would drive up and join you, but our hunting cabin in Port Allegheny(where I lived when I worked there) suffered from burst pipes--which we won't get a chance to repair untill the Spring. Hvae fun--hope there is some new snow!
