Hi,
My '68 911T 2.0 (110hp) SWB has been off the road since November as one of the pistons and cylinders needed changing (original part no: 901.103.903.90). Since then I have tried to source a used single replacement, or used compatible set of six without success. I am reluctant to pay the price for a complete new set and even then I can not find a manufacturer who can supply a new set of the correct size.
What are my options? e.g. re-boring cylinders to a accept pistons/cylinders that are more widely available? Replace all or part of the engine? Would a complete set of 914/6 parts fit? Where can I find these used?
What would you recommend? I have attached a couple of pics of the piston if this helps.
