There were only two 959 in the United States. One was owned by Otis Chandler, of the Los Angeles Times, and he donated it to the Petersen Museum.
The other is owned by Bill Gates, and he keeps his in his 30 car underground garage, photos of which I have seen from the architect who designed it.
Neither of these can be driven, legally, in the streets. They do not meet DOT rules; I think they are okay for EPA rules, but not DOT.
All others are kits; but even a cursory inspection will let you know that they are kits. The 959 was done as an entirely new body, with twin-turbos, etc. not as a basic 911 with body panels added.....Andras
