Well, with their new ad campaign and all it seems Weideking and the boys at Porsche WANT to appeal to the status-symbol crowd. I used to get funny enough looks in my 914 from the collar-up crowd - now they want to build an SUV? I finally let my PCA membership lapse, just b/c I think the new corporate direction is crap. Plus I got tired of having to worry whether or not anybody would notice a sagging fog lamp, or a ding on the hood : ) I guess for me Porsche will always remain an era, since it no longer appears to be a car-nut's company...
