Doc says it's due to the angle that the knee joint meets and if they blow one they are pretty much gauranteed to blow the other.
So we got pet insurance and sure enough almost a year to the day she blows out the other leg.
Insurance covered almost all of it.
Amazing what they can do today. Watching her run around you'd never know her rear end is held together with metal plates and pins.
They even reimburse partially for check ups and vaccinations.
