Heavy fumes will be the real danger. Get a spark and up you go. Given our cars' bad wiring this would not be out of the question in just normal operation.
Besides getting rid of the gas, which I'm about to do right now, what else can I do to make my car safely drivable again? I need to drive today.

Also, what is the part number for the gasket I need?
