See, I don't get that.
Is it because cats are small that they should cost less?
Vet's have the same time & cost commitment, for their schooling. They have to learn about a lot more than ONE speicies (unlike human doc's). They can't just
ask the patient "what's wrong". At any time a Vet's patient may try to take-out a chunk of the doc's face.
From what I've seen, Vet's do NOT go in to the profession chasing big money/power . . .. unlike the majority of human doc's.
btw, funny timing of this thread. I took my Mom's cat to the Vet yesterday. It had wounds from a nasty fight. The Vet anesthetized the cat, fixed the wounds. . . and then suggested yanking a few bad teeth, and cleaning the rest.
From this thread, I was expecting $600+ . . . the bill was less than $300.
What would the cost be of some guy going to the emergency-room, after a bar-fight, to get stiched-up . .. and then head to the dentist to get his wisdom teeth pulled?
