You have to have something more fun as a daily driver. The Avalon runs in the high 20s to mid 30s. Get something with a little performance and fun. Do you do a great deal of driving for work or to work? My opinion is that if you don't truly love a car then don't tie yourself down to it with car payments etc. I am biased against most Toyotas except the trucks. My mom has a 1999 Corolla with 100,000 + miles, my dad has an 2003 Camry with 25,000 miles before that he had an 1989 Camry with 225,000 miles and before that a 1985 Toyota Minivan with 216,000 miles. I am just sick of them personally. They last too damn long and don't feel like fun cars to me. Life is just too short to always be practical.
