I'm closing on a year since I started the backdate on my '76 (or has it been that long

)...figure I'd post some pix to get me motivated again. Last year was a crazy year with work, and I didn't have all the time I wanted to spend on the project, but now it has to be finished!
This is some of the small welding work to close the holes in the door.
I had some of the sheet metal from the flare work, so I figured why not use the native stuff. Others have used washers or other metal. The hole saws I had made cut outs that fit perfectly.
I used a magnet to hold the cut outs in place and tack welded them in before finishing off the seam slowly and bit by bit to prevent too much warping.
A rough grinding job and then a little work with the DA sander and some cold galvanizing and the door is read for the next stage (after the tub gets blasted all the metal work will get a thin filler and lots of sanding).
